Profile & CV

Hi there!

I am an independent game developer based in São Paulo, Brazil. My day job is currently teaching assistant at an international school here, and my dream is to make games.

​

I don't like to use the term "self-taught" because it feels dismissive of all the patience and care my gamedev friends put in while holding my hand through the scary basics of C# and Unity. I've also begun to learn Godot and GDScript, and I'm designing levels in Unreal for another project. I have however studied game design as a hobby for the past 15 years and at the tail end of 2019 I decided to pursue it as a career.

Since then I have started Team Croissant, a collective of aspiring game developers and artists who've come together to learn and create. Some of our projects (which you can see in the reel on the homepage or my portfolio page) include: "Starlight Express", a narrative driven Pinball RPG set in a space station that's a mashup of Stardew Valley and Mass Effect 2 and "Candy Core Crisis: Defending Lollipop Lake", a Star Fox 64 style dogfighting game with RTS elements. We also regularly take part in game jams, sometimes switching roles for fun.

I try to play a new game every week, to expand my reference library.  I use the PlayStation Plus subscription service and Steam, to play classic, indie, AAA titles and everything in between!

I have also begun streaming my learning processes on Twitch as I explore the Godot engine and make my own, more personal, solo-developed games.
