My Process for "Candy Core Crisis"
Fly around with your team taking down enemy ships while helping the people of Lollipop Lake sure up their defenses!
This was a little prototype we started working on while Chris and I were working on the Starlight Express script. The dogfighting/RTS idea was something that came about when I was considering the wave-based, arcade style of games like Ace Combat and Star Fox 64, and how easily one might be able to insert tower defense and base building elements in between rounds. This was also the first Team Croissant project where I was not acting as Creative Director and I thoroughly enjoyed focusing on craft of game design with someone else's idea. I also got to flex my 3D modeling muscles designing most of the game's vehicles and some environments.
